Sylvester Stallone responds to rumors about a PG-13 Expendables 2

JoBloJoBlo

Just a few days ago we posted this bit of news, wherein it seemed that Chuck Norris’ provision for being in THE EXPENDABLES 2 was that the film would bear a PG-13 rating when it exploded into theaters on August 17th.

Well this sent action-lovers the world over into an uproar (we all know what happened with LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD), and so Harry Knowles over at Ain’t It Cool News emailed Sylvester Stallone himself in order to find out just what was going on. Here’s what the man said:

“Harry, the film is fantastic with Van Damme turning in an inspired performance… Our final battle is one for the ages. The PG-13 rumor is true, but before your readers pass judgement, trust me when I say this film is LARGE in every way and delivers on every level. This movie touches on many emotions which we want to share with the broadest audience possible, BUT, fear not, this Barbeque of Grand scale Ass Bashing will not leave anyone hungry… Sly”

So it’s definitely happening then.  We’re going to have an action movie filled overflowing with explosions and death and pain and violence and testosterone and more bullets than were used by the American Army in the last ten years, and it will be rated PG-13.  Do with that fact as you will.
