As The Six Million Dollar Man, Lee Majors was a hero to the children of the 1970s. As The Fall Guy, he was a hero to the kids of the '80s. While the seventy-seven year old actor has continued to work steadily since those decades, it's been way too long since TV viewers have been able to watch him play a hero on a regular basis. These days I mostly see him on TV promoting hearing aids, but it looks like the heroic Majors may be making a comeback with his role on the upcoming second season of the Starz series Ash vs. Evil Dead.

On Ash vs. Evil Dead, Majors will be playing the father of the EVIL DEAD franchise's bumbling hero Ash. We got a quick glimpse of Majors in the season two trailer, but now Entertainment Weekly has now gotten their hands on the first picture of Majors in character, wielding a shotgun alongside Bruce Campbell as Ash.

I was already on board to watch every episode of Ash vs. Evil Dead as soon as it was announced. After watching the first season and seeing what an awesome delight it was, I'm even more hyped about this show's existence. Now they're offering me the chance to watch Bruce Campbell and Lee Majors be badass side-by-side? How much greatness can one series provide?

The second season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.

Ash vs Evil Dead returns to Starz in October.
