More than a decade after Samurai Jack came to an unplanned end, Genndy Tartakovsky brought the celebrated series back for a fifth and final season on Adult Swim in 2017, and it seems that the cable channel is planning on staying in the Genndy Tartakovsky business. Adult Swim has ordered a new animated series from Tartakovsky by the name of Primal, and the first teaser trailer for the new series is…well…primal.
The animated series centers around a caveman at the dawn of evolution and a dinosaur on the brink of extinction. Bonded by tragedy, this unlikely friendship becomes the only hope of survival in a violent, primordial world. The teaser only offers a small look at the series, but I'm already digging the rough yet lush animation style. The half-hour series will premiere this fall on Adult Swim. Count me in.
