First Brad Pitt, then Eli Roth (check that out HERE ), and now… BJ Novak is in final negotiations to star in Quentin Tarantino’s long-awaited INGLORIOUS BASTARDS!

Novak, star and writer of the comedy extravaganza The Office , is in talks to star as PFC Utivich, one of the rogue Jewish-American soldiers out to kill, scalp, and carve up as many Nazis as they can during WWII Germany.

I’m a huge fan of The Office , and I think Novak is hilarious, but as a Nazi killing soldier? I don’t know if I can buy that. I’ve read the script, and… it’s not a comedy. It’s actually a pretty hardcore drama filled with graphic violence. Then again, there’s part of me that can see Novak playing it straight. Hey, at least it’s not Rainn Wilson!
