Under the direction of D.J. Caruso (DISTURBIA), casting continues for DreamWorks’ sci-fi alien picture I AM NUMBER FOUR. A few weeks back BEASTLY star Alex Pettyfer landed the lead character Four, only to be joined by DISTRICT 9’s Sharlto Copley shortly thereafter. Well, looks like the boys are being joined by some much welcomed eye candy…the lovely Mrs. Teresa Palmer!

Adapted from James Frey’s tome by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (creators of TV’s “Smallville”), I AM NUMBER FOUR tells the story of Nine alien teens come to Earth after their planet is destroyed by an enemy species. But soon discover that their enemy is now after them on Earth. Palmer has been tapped to play the character Number Six.

Palmer adds I AM NUMBER FOUR to an upcoming slate that includes THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE and the fourth Mad Max film, FURY ROAD.

I AM NUMBER FOUR, tethered to a 2011 release, will be jointly produced by Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay.
