We got a heads up from writer / director Joe Francis about his upcoming project THE TEXAS FRIGHTMARE MASSACRE, which is gearing up to begin filming over the first full weekend in April (so just about a month now). So what can we expect from TFM? I’ll let Francis do the talking:
iI’s not just funny and murdery, it’s also very boobish, too! There’s two idiot security guards! Oh, and the random shower scene. Who gets excited about that nonsense, though? Oh also, the mask. The mask is amazing. So much to do with the mask.
And that’s just a tease of what’s going down. TFM is about a nerdish guy that goes to Texas Frightmare Weekend with his step sister and her dick head boyfriend. He realizes people aren’t his friends, and his he no longer has movie heroes to rely on, so he starts his murderous rampage! Hot on the trail of our fresh killer are a trio of over glorified security guards. All the while Loyd’s assistant Ryan is trying to figure out a way to save TFW. Oh, and some con attendees want to get their murder on too, resulting in one of the biggest bloodbaths in horror history!
Sounds like a blast to me! I’m surprised there’s not more movies about what it’s like going to these kind of conventions, and by throwing in a serial killer…. well, that should make things VERY interesting!
