In the previous episode of The Arrow in the Head Show, hosts John “The Arrow” Fallon and Lance Vlcek focused their conversation on the 1980 classic Friday the 13th. In the new episode of the show, they’re taking a look at another entry in the franchise: the 2009 reboot also titled Friday the 13th (watch it HERE)… and this time they’re joined by guest Derek Mears, who played Jason Voorhees in the film! To hear what The Arrow, Lance, and Mears have to say about Jason’s 2009 killing spree, check out the video embedded above.

Directed by Marcus Nispel from a screenplay by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (who also receive story credit with Mark Wheaton), Friday the 13th 2009 has the following synopsis:

Against the advice of locals and police, Clay scours the eerie woods surrounding Crystal Lake for his missing sister. But the rotting cabins of an abandoned summer camp are not the only things he finds. Hockey-masked killer Jason Voorhees lies in wait for a chance to use his razor-sharp machete on Clay and the group of college students who have come to the forest to party.

The film stars Jared Padalecki, Danielle Panabaker, Amanda Righetti, Travis Van Winkle, Aaron Yoo, Julianna Guill, Arlen Escarpeta, Willa Ford, Ryan Hansen, Kyle Davis, Nick Mennell, America Olivo, Ben Feldman, Jonathan Sadowski, Richard Burgi, and Nana Visitor, with Derek Mears as Jason Voorhees.

Here’s some information on The Arrow in the Head Show:

We’re trying something a bit new here on Arrow In The Head. After many years behind the scenes, we’ve decided to take our sarcastic, booze-influenced style into the video age with The Arrow In The Head Show! Hosted by John Fallon aka The Arrow and Lance Vlcek, we will dig into not only the newest horror flicks hitting the big and small screens but also delve into the good, bad, and ugly of horror from the golden ages of the ’80s through the underrated 90s and maybe a bit beyond.

Something groovy and a tad rough around the edges, we are here to talk shop with a drink in hand, a bit of foul language, and a whole lot of heart.

This episode of the show was Edited by Lance, and it was Written by The Arrow and Lance.
