The cast of The Boys read One-Star reviews of their highly successful series

When Amazon Prime's THE BOYS had its July 26 premiere earlier this year, the obscene, sadistic, and gory adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's comic book series hit superhero fans like a crowbar upside the head. While many embraced the show's lack of concern for those with weak stomachs, and offered fans of the superhero genre something from the other side of the tracks, there were still many who thought the show was hot "tras," and they let Amazon know it by posting one-star reviews for the series.

Thankfully, the cast and crew behind THE BOYS are taking those negative reviews in stride, and have even released a hilarious video featuring several of the disrepectful diatribes left by a portion of the greatest wordsmiths of our generation.

In attendance for the reading of one-star slanderings are THE BOYS cast members Chase Crawford (The Deep), Tomer Capon (Frenchie), Laz Alonso (Mother's Milk), Jessie T. Usher (A-Train), Jack Quaid (Hughie), Dominique McElligott (Queen Maeve), Nathan Mitchell (Black Noir), and Karen Fukuhara (The Female). To their credit, each member of the cast reads their one-star reviews with gusto. That being said, they also aren't afraid to clap back at some of their more simple-minded, grammatically-challenged fans, either. I particularly like how Capon finds several creative ways of giving the show's more trollish fans the finger. I feel you, buddy, as I very much liked THE BOYS and am very much looking forward to its second season.

Before we get out of here, I'd like to take a moment to draw your attention to Rotten Tomatoes, and the fact that, as of this moment, THE BOYS has an 84% Fresh rating on the Tomatometer, and an Audience Score of 94%. That's a Critic Rating of 94, and a User Rating of 2666. While you should always make your own opinion about anything you choose to watch, the evidence is clear that a lot of people dug the first season of THE BOYS, and are likely down for more expletive-laden and violent adventures when the show returns next year.
