Scream Factory reveals The Craft Collector’s Edition details

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Scream Factory announced last July at Comic-Con they're working on a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray of Andrew Fleming’s THE CRAFT starring Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, and Rachel True. As you can imagine, it's been quite some time since we've been given an update on the release, but all of that changed today as the powers that be over at Scream Factory just revealed some more concrete details over on Facebook.

First, they let us all know that the official release date is planned for March 12th, and since this is a Collector’s Edition, it will come with a slipcover in its first three months of release. On top of that, they passed along word that the conceptual (and suitably witchy) new illustration pictured below is from artist Joel Robinson. The reverse wrap will feature the iconic poster art of the four ladies doing the supernatural "runway strut" we all know and love.

All of that new info spat, Scream Factory wants us all to know that extras are in progress and will be announced on a later date. But they can confirm that all the bonus materials from the prior DVD and Blu will be ported over and they already have new interviews secured with director Andrew Fleming, writer Peter Fildari, makeup effects supervisor Tony Gardner and producer Doug Wick.

Let's hope they can get the killer cast in there as well!

Here's the flick's synopsis:

After transferring to a Los Angeles high school, Sarah (Robin Tunney) finds that her telekinetic gift appeals to a group of three wannabe witches, who happen to be seeking a fourth member for their rituals. Bonnie (Neve Campbell), Rochelle (Rachel True) and Nancy (Fairuza Balk), like Sarah herself, all have troubled backgrounds, which combined with their nascent powers lead to dangerous consequences. When a minor spell causes a fellow student to lose her hair, the girls grow power-mad.

The official release date is planned for March 12th, 2019. Personally, I have a ton of love for THE CRAFT (and I'm digging the new cover art) and so it's pretty much a done deal that I will be snagging a copy of this Scream Factory Collector's Edition when it hits. How about you? Let us know below!
