THE CRAZIES is gearing up for its February 26, 2010, release the only way it knows how: by pimping out as many new posters as it possibly can before the big day. The marketing push hasn’t quite kicked into overdrive (give it a week), but we do have a new UK quad poster for your perusal, using simplicity and a striking image to sell the audience.
Featuring a presumably crazy girl standing by her lonesome in the middle of main street of a small town (Blogden Marsh). Nothing appears all that out of place, but there’s something not right going on here. The girl? Yeah, but what about her? At this distance, she could be totally normal. The omniscient sky filled with dark clouds and doom? Yeah… but there’s more going on here than that, I just can’t put my finger on it.
Directed by Breck Eisner and starring Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell, and Joe Anderson, THE CRAZIES is about the inhabitants of a small Iowa town who are suddenly plagued by insanity and then death after a mysterious toxin contaminates their water supply.
