The Dark Offerings: Felissa Rose, David Howard Thornton horror film now on Amazon Prime

We were just a couple months into the pandemic lockdown when we heard that director Marcus Slabine had wrapped production on a horror film called The Dark Offerings, which was shot entirely during the lockdown and features genre icons Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), David Howard Thornton (Terrifier), Terry Alexander (Day of the Dead), Tamara Glynn (Halloween 5), and Eileen Dietz (The Exorcist). If you’ve been wanting to hear an update on The Dark Offerings, we have a great one to share with you today: production company Into the Labyrinth LLC has announced that the movie is now available to watch on Amazon Prime! You can find it at THIS LINK, where you can rent it for just 99 cents or buy it for $9.99.

Slabine wrote the screenplay for The Dark Offerings with Elizabeth Piper S., an award-winning actress, producer, and FX / makeup artist who has her own line of FX blood product called Cine Blood: Type O. Together, they crafted the following story:

Sophia Hapgood is thrust into a horrifying world after her brother James brings her into a fatal situation. He passes a demon to her that she must spread to others within 6 days or else they both die. Sophia must make a choice to save her brother or find a way to end the curse.

Piper S. stars alongside the aforementioned icons, as well as Clifton Dunn, Benjamin Frankenberg, Tina Nikolova, Paul Sheehan, Lydia Kalmen, Jason Leavy, Michael Leavy, Spencer Charnas, Zach Selwyn, and Shawn C. Phillips.

A press release notes that Piper S. nearly died from COVID-19 the month before filming began on The Dark Offerings and was still recovering during production. She said,

Making this film saved my life, and it should be a fun, emotional, and terrifying rollercoaster for horror and non-horror lovers.”
