I have yet to actually sit down and watch THE FOLLOWING but apparently I’m the only one as Fox has just announced that they have ordered a second season of the show. I’m happy to hear this because it’s nice to see the horror genre doing so well on the small screen. Whether you like THE WALKING DEAD or not, you’ve gotta be happy that its success has started this flood of horror on television.

From the very beginning, we felt Kevin Williamson and Marcos Siega had created a high-quality, edge-of-your-seat drama that could break from the pack, and it is exciting to see the audience responding,” said Reilly. “Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy have given us two of the most compelling characters on television and the entire cast is incredible. I’m delighted to have this thrill ride continue on FOX for another season.
After only six episodes, THE FOLLOWING has already landed at No. 2 for broadcast drama and No. 3 for drama overall. Very cool stuff and it’s nice to see Kevin Bacon still kicking ass.
