The force is strong with this new Empire cover for Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Happy Force Friday II, everybody! We're only a few months away from the release of STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI, and Star Wars fever is running rampant through the community like a stampede of Eopies. Earlier today, Empire treated Star Wars fans to a first-look at the Holographic Subscriber Cover for the latest issue of their entertainment magazine.

You can check out the new cover below:

Soon, those who collect the publication will have the opportunity to bask in the glossy glow of the shiny cover, in addition to reading the eight-page feature inside. As you can see, the new cover depicts Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Luke (Mark Hamill) engaged in a lightsaber exchange. It's probably one of the better looks we've gotten at Luke's robotic hand in quite some time, to boot. If I had this cover, I'd be holding it against a light source while moving the magazine back and forth, dazzling myself with the psychedelic colors of the holographic material.

If you're feeling a little salty right now about this being a Subscriber's cover, have no fear, because you'll be able to snag one for yourself when the magazine hits stands on September 7th. And yes, the cover for that version will be holographic as well.

Enjoy your Force Friday II, everyone! STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI will land in theaters on December 15th.
