There are tons of new pieces of footage speculate over and gawk at, like seeing Jared Leto, Robin Wright and Dave Bautista's characters. On a pure visual level BLADE RUNNER 2049 is looking absolutely stunning. Denis Villeneuve knows how to compose his shots and give them breadth and scope while not backing them with detail. Simple, elegant and full of mystery. I have a strong feeling this will be the MAD MAX: FURY ROAD of the year, and if it lives up the footage could even get some major awards attention. My new goal in life to live to see October. After that death can have me if he sees fit.
