Director Adam Wingard caught people's attention with his horrific house thriller YOU'RE NEXT and now he's bringing a different kind of home infiltration flick to theaters September 17. This movie received a very favorable review from us earlier this year at Sundance (which you can check out here). Now we have the latest trailer to peak your interest.

The synopsis is as follows:

David is the perfect guest. Friendly and helpful, this young soldier arrives on the doorstep of the Peterson family, claiming to be a good friend of their beloved son who died in action. The Petersons welcome David into their home and into their lives, but when people start mysteriously dying in town, their teenage daughter Anna starts wondering if David is responsible.

I can't say I was the biggest fan of YOU'RE NEXT, but this film seems to have a little more meat on its bones in terms of character development. I'm actually a big fan of Dan Stevens work on Downton Abbey (don't judge), so I look forward to seeing him play someone a little on edge in THE GUEST.

THE GUEST will be released on September 17, 2014.
