The Little People: Hannah John-Kamen leads ‘Gremlins meets Straw Dogs’ film

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Warner Bros. has picked up the UK distribution rights to director Jon Wright's creature feature THE LITTLE PEOPLE, which is described by Wright as being like "GREMLINS meets STRAW DOGS". Along with that announcement comes the release of a first look image, which can be seen below.

Starring Hannah John-Kamen of ANT-MAN AND THE WASP and Netflix's The Stranger, THE LITTLE PEOPLE follows

a couple who escape their urban nightmare to the tranquility of rural Ireland only to discover malevolent, murderous goblins lurking in the gnarled, ancient wood at the foot of their new garden.

John-Kamen is joined in the cast by Douglas Booth, Colm Meaney, Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, Chris Walley, and Kristian Nairn.

Wright wrote the screenplay with Mark Stay. A Tempo Production in association with Automatik VFX, THE LITTLE PEOPLE was funded by Ingenious Media and produced by Piers Tempest and Peter Touche. Janine Modder, Matt Williams, Jamie Jessop, Andrea Scarso, Michael Reuter, Seb Barker, Doris Pfardrescher, Alison Thompson and Mark Gooder of Cornerstone Films, and Tempo's Jo Bamford all serve as executive producers.

THE LITTLE PEOPLE sounds pretty cool to me, I was sold as soon as I saw the director's "GREMLINS meets STRAW DOGS" description. That's definitely the sort of movie I want to watch.

We'll keep you updated on this project as more distribution details are revealed.
