After the success of the Christina Ricci-starring LIZZIE BORDEN TOOK AN AX earlier this year, Lifetime greenlit a new 6-hour miniseries titled "The Lizzie Borden Chronicles" (formerly "Lizzie Borden: The Fall Rivers Chronicles") that will find Ricci reprising her role as the murder suspect Borden, and now the series has begun to cast up.

Deadline is sharing that "Veronica Mars" alumna Jessy Schram and Jonathan Banks ("Breaking Bad") have joined the cast of Lifetime’s six-episode limited series "The Lizzie Borden Chronicles". Also returning for the series is the movie’s Clea DuVall, who will also reprise her role as Lizzie Borden’s sister, Emma.

The limited series offers a fictionalized account of actual events and people surrounding Lizzie’s life after her controversial acquittal of the horrific double murder of her father and stepmother in 1892, when the exonerated figure lives a life awash in newfound celebrity. But when numerous people close to Lizzie, ranging from her half-brother to Broadway luminaries and the head of the criminal underworld, start to mysteriously die under brutal and strange circumstances, legendary Pinkerton detective Charlie Siringo (Cole Hauser) becomes determined to prove her involvement in their ultimate demise.

Schram will play an alluring and ambitious actress and dancer who befriends Lizzie following one of her performances. Banks will play Mr. Flowers, Lizzie’s business associate, a crime kingpin who manages the prostitution and extortion ring in Fall River.

The cast also features Emmy nominee John Heard as William Almy, the business partner of Lizzie’s murdered father Andrew, and Andrew Howard as Lizzie’s half-brother William.
