Rivendell is one of the most beautiful places in all of Middle-earth, and LEGO will be bringing the Elven sanctuary to life with their largest Lord of the Rings set. Based on Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings franchise, the LEGO set boasts a whopping 6, 167 pieces, which places it among the top ten biggest sets LEGO has ever produced. Check out a handful of photos below!

The building set is decorated with foliage that creates the feeling of being deep inside the Rivendell forest and includes magical details including an elven forge, Elrond’s cluttered study, the Shards of Narsil, plus paintings and statues from the history of Middle-earth,” reads the official description. “It also comes with 15 minifigures to bring favorite scenes to life. The minifigures have detachable legs, so you can seat them around the table to recreate the iconic Council of Elrond scene.

As the description mentions, the Rivendell LEGO set includes 15 minifigures, including Gandalf the Grey, Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee, Merriadoc “Merry” Brandybuck, Peregrin “Pippin” Took, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir, Aragorn, Elrond, Arwen, and Bilbo Baggins. The remaining minifigures include additional elves and a dwarf.

LEGO’s Rivendell set measures over 15 in. (39 cm) high, 29.5 in. (75 cm) wide, and 19.5 in. (50 cm) deep. The set splits into 3 sections: the tower, the council ring and the gazebo with river and bridge. There are plenty of little details that will reveal themselves as the set is constructed, which is sure to be a treat for any fan of Lord of the Rings. LEGO is no stranger to massive sets based on iconic franchises. They unveiled an equally massive set of the Razor Crest from The Mandalorian just last year that was a sight to behold.

Now, what will the LEGO Rivendell set run you? If you’ve got a spare $499.99 just laying around, then the set can be yours once it’s officially released on March 8th. That’s a little beyond my budget at the moment, but it’s certainly pretty to look at. You can pre-order the Rivendell set directly from LEGO right here.
