The Man With the Golden Gun (James Bond Revisited)

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Welcome back to another episode of "James Bond Revisited"! This time, we're taking a look at Roger Moore's second outing as 007, The Man With the Golden Gun, which was actually something of a fiasco for the series, resulting in a soft reboot behind the scenes in the next film, the Bond classic The Spy Who Loved Me.

On this one, the relationship between Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli finally reached its breaking point, and Roger Moore struggled with a poorly conceived Bond adventure, that tried to remold him in the Sean Connery image. It didn't work. Nevertheless, the film does have some things going for it, including a top-notch villain in Christopher Lee's Scaramanga, two beautiful Swedish Bond girls, Britt Ekland and Maud Adams, and.a strong mano-a-mano showdown between Bond and the baddie. Plus, Hervé Villechaize as Nick Nack (there are some crazy stories related to him in here). Check it out and follow the whole series here!
