The second and equally confounding teaser for Shane Carruth’s UPSTREAM COLOR is here, if you want a mild headache for any particular reason, go ahead and give it a whirl below. I’m still reeling from it my damn self!
From the director of PRIMER (Carruth) – UPSTREAM COLOR paints:
A man and woman drawn together, entangled in the life cycle of an ageless organism. Identity becomes an illusion as they struggle to assemble the loose fragments of wrecked lives.
I have no idea what any of that means, nor do I have any clue as to what the hell is going on in the teaser. And I honestly can’t tell if this is incoherent drivel masquerading as some kind of avant-garde one-off, or if this will be Carruth’s wheelhouse for the duration of his career. All that to admit I am kind of intrigued. Even if for a mere change of pace.
UPSTREAM COLOR hits this March.
