The Shore trailer: New Lovecraftian video game aims to terrify

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Lovecraft has been an influence on games for a while now, from games explicitly based on the authors' works – such as Call of Cthulhu – to games greatly inspired by his work, ala Dead Space and Silent Hill. This brings us to the awesome, eerie trailer for the first-person adventure game The Shore, which draws heavily from Lovecraft's writings (including an appearance by my man Cthulhu himself!) You can see the trailer for yourself in the embed at the top of the article!

Here's the official description:

THE SHORE is a first person story driven game with an atmospheric environment and narrations, You will encounter mysterious creatures and unravel the secrets behind them. Strong elements of horror, struggle to survive an unknown world that will make you question your own sanity.

The Shore will be available on Steam February 19th!
