Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Entertainment Weekly has exclusively reported that Ezra Miller (JUSTICE LEAGUE) has been cast as The Trashcan Man in the CBS All Access' upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's epic post-apocalyptic thriller THE STAND (originally played by Matt Frewer in the original 1994 miniseries)! You can even see the first official still of Miller in character at the bottom o the article!

Here's what Miller said about the character:

Fireproof underwear' were two of the first words out of my mouth in the first conceptual meeting…I was very interested in working directly with the wardrobe department in creating a look based entirely on the practical demands of the characters pyromania. Trash wears nothing but what is necessary to craft incendiaries, ignite them, and get as close to the flames as possible — in order to revel in the fire.

And here's the official synopsis:

The Stand is about a global pandemic that kills more than 99 percent of the population and leaves two groups of survivors to battle for the soul of America. Trash is an unstable pyromaniac who joins a group of survivors in "New Vegas" led by the demonic Randall Flagg (Alexander Skarsgard).

Meanwhile, THE STAND – directed by Josh Boone and also starring James Marsden, Whoopi Goldbery, and Alexander Skarsgård – will premiere on CBS All Access December 17th!
