Looks like Bryan Bertino is back in the saddle for good…

After telling you about GRIM DEATH last month, THE STRANGERS director (above) has just sold another spec script, this time to Universal, an untitled “found footage” thriller to be produced by Blumhouse productions (PARANORMAL ACTIVITY). No details have been unearthed at this time, other than the fact Bertino is not yet attached to direct his own script. Oh, and apparently the film had been making the rounds under the alias MOCKINGBIRD. Clues perhaps?

For Bertino, it seems we’ve been waiting a long time to follow up his sparse but effective home invasion flick. He’s not made a film since, and only has two writing credits, PLASTIC JESUS and THE STRANGERS 2, neither of which he’ll helm. Maybe dude’s just becoming a full time writer, nothing wrong with that!

More on this one as it marinates.
