How long have we been waiting for a HALO movie? It seems like only yesterday that Peter Jackson and Neil Blomkamp were going to bring the Master Chief saga to the big screen. Even Guillermo Del Toro and Steven Spielberg have had their names attached to the project in one capacity or another.

While a HALO movie will likely be made someday, we will have at least something to watch in the form of HALO 4: FORWARD UNTO DAWN. The long anticipated live action web series had it’s trailer debut at Comic Con and it is pretty impressive.

Plot: A live-action digital series that takes fans back to the terrifying beginning of the Human/Covenant war, when the Master Chief inspired a young cadet who would eventually become a leader aboard the UNSC’s greatest vessel: the UNSC Infinity.

Now, I am a Nintendo man myself, but I cannot deny the sheer awesomeness that HALO presents as a cinematic property. FORWARD UNTO DAWN looks like a nice step up for the franchise. I will definitely be checking the web series out when it premieres on October 5th.
