Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The tenth season of AMC's The Walking Dead will wrap up on April 12th, and immediately after that show's season finale AMC will be airing the first episode of the new series in the franchise, The Walking Dead: World Beyond.

The Walking Dead's season 10 finale will begin at 9pm on April 12th, followed by the premiere of The Walking Dead: World Beyond at 10pm.

Consisting of ten episodes, the first season of World Beyond is set in Nebraska and is expected to expand

the universe of The Walking Dead, delving into a new mythology and story that follows the first generation raised in a surviving civilization of the post-apocalyptic world. Two sisters along with two friends leave a place of safety and comfort to brave dangers, known and unknown, living and undead on an important quest.  Pursued by those who wish to protect them and those who wish to harm them, a tale of growing up and transformation unfurls across dangerous terrain, challenging everything they know about the world, themselves and each other.  Some will become heroes.  Some will become villains.  But all of them will find the truths they seek.

The series was created by Scott M. Gimple and Matt Negrete. Negrete serves as showrunner. The first episode was directed by KONG: SKULL ISLAND's Jordan Vogt-Roberts.

Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Aliyah Royale, Annet Mahendru, Nico Tortorella, Joe Holt, and Julia Ormond star.

The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, the trilogy of Rick Grimes feature films… whatever AMC throws at us, I'm on board to watch it. They roped me in ten years ago and now I have to see it through.
