The Well: Lauren LaVera of Terrifier 2 stars in supernatural thriller

Terrifier 2 heroine Lauren LaVera has signed on to star in the supernatural thriller The Well, filming soon in Italy

I didn’t enjoy Terrifier 2 very much, but I was very impressed by the performance delivered by heroine Lauren LaVera, who came off as a star on the rise – and who seemed like such a badass in her confrontation with Art the Clown, I could see her becoming a major force in the action genre, if that’s a path she’s interested in taking. As she continues on her way to stardom, LaVera has signed on to star in a supernatural thriller called The Well – and our friends at Bloody Disgusting were able to dig up some exclusive details on the project.

Federico Zampaglione (Tulpa: Demon of Desire) will be directing The Well and has also written the screenplay with producer Stefano Masi. The film will see LaVera taking on the role of Lisa Gray, a budding art restorer, who travels to a small Italian village to bring a medieval painting back to its former glory. Little does she know she is placing her life in danger from an evil curse and a monster born of myth and brutal pain.

Production is scheduled to begin on March 6th, and filming will take place in locations around Rome. Bloody Disgusting notes that the principle location is a haunted house in Sambuci.

Zampaglione provided the following statement: “Here I am… back on the horror horse! I deeply love this genre, because it speaks to the human soul, investigates our unknown fears and gets lost in deep darkness whilst clinging to a blade of light. The Well pushes at the most extreme emotions, destroying the border between reality and fantasy, good and evil, life and death. You will discover that evil has new depths.

LaVera is joined in the cast by Claudia Gerini (The Passion of the Christ), Giovanni Lombardo Radice (The House on the Edge of the Park), Linda Zampaglione (Time Is Up), Jonathan Dylan King (From Scratch), Lorenzo Renzi (Crazy for Football), Taylor Zaudtke (After Midnight), Gianluigi Calvani (DI4RIES), and Yassine Fadel (All My Friends Are Dead).
