The Witching Hour trailer with Michael Madsen, William Forsythe and Tony Todd

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

If there’s one thing indie writer/director Kevin MacDonald knows, it’s casting. I had the pleasure of spending some time on the set of his feature debut, BEG, and it featured a host of genre favorites. While that film awaits release, MacDonald went off and shot another one, THE WITCHING HOUR. Check out the trailer below.

The flick features Michael Madsen (RESERVOIR DOGS), William Forsythe (THE DEVIL’S REJECTS), Tony Todd (CANDYMAN), Doug Jones (PAN’S LABYRINTH), Dee Wallace (CUJO), Tiffany Shepis (below, NIGHTMARE MAN) and Tony Moran (HALLOWEEN). Pretty sweet line-up, no?

Having seen MacDonald and his crew at work firsthand, I can say with confidence that they possess the passion and talent to create a great horror film. Hopefully we’ll learn of a release soon.

Welcome to Forest Cove. A Sleepy New England town… with many stories to be told! When the moon rides high and the clock strikes twelve, Devlin Deeds takes over the air waves. Sitting at the console of his make shift radio station, Deeds turns the old light house into his own personal beacon of terror. Ocean waves crash against the rocks, fog rolls past the full moon, and the night owls of New England call in and share their stories with him – stories of horror, fear and dread.
