Things get intense in badass new Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

One of the last remaining movies I am excited for this summer is MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE ROGUE NATION. Unlike other movies that have debuted, the marketing for the fifth entry in the Tom Cruise-led franchise came late, but they have been furiously marketing this action adventure. This latest trailer for the Christopher McQuarrie movie is a different cut of footage we have seen before, but peppered with some new scenes.

The biggest change in this trailer is we now have a little bit more background as to why Alec Baldwin doesn’t trust the IMF. We also have more looks at Sean Harris as the Syndicate villain as he goes toe to toe with Ethan Hunt and his team. It also looks like Jeremy Renner is the new Mr. Phelps for the team which explains how he was able to film this and AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON so close together.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE ROGUE NATION had the lofty challenge of topping Brad Bird‘s spectacular GHOST PROTOCOL. While it may be too early to call this a better movie, the trailers definitely show it is going to go toe to toe with the fourth entry in the series for bragging rights. Hell, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE could be the next FAST AND FURIOUS series where each chapter has to outdo it’s predecessor.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE ROGUE NATION opens on July 31st.
