Less than 24 hours ago we told you how director Nimrod Antal has finally decided to talk a bit about his current project: Robert Rodriguez’s PREDATORS. Well that isn’t the only PREDATORS news to be making the rounds!

Radio station KGNB, of New Braunfels, Texas, has revealed where the home planet of the infamous Predator is located: Comal County. More specifically: Canyon Lake Gorge. (above) The station’s official website reveals that Antal and company landed in Canyon Lake after filming in Hawaii for a month. Here’s a bit of the report:

Specifically, they went to a spot that 10 years ago didn’t exist, but after flood of 2001, when water went over the spillway at Canyon Lake, a huge gorge was cut out of the landscape, and apparently the filmmakers thought the gorge was the perfect look to create an alien landscape.

Nice. That’s actually pretty interesting… Intrigued to see what this shite will look like on film as part of this faraway planet? Unfortunately we’ll have to wait until July 7, 2010 to find out! PREDATORS stars Topher Grace, Adrien Brody, Danny Trejo, Alice Braga (below) and Derek Mears. It’s about a group of elite warriors who are hunted by members of a merciless alien race known as Predators. Works for me! As always keep it here for all your PREDATORS updates!
