Thomas Jane encounters a malevolent force in The Orchard

Thomas Jane has spent a lot of time in genre territory over the course of his career, going back to early credits on the She-Wolf of London TV show and the BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER movie. He was in THE CROW: CITY OF ANGELS, battled sharks in DEEP BLUE SEA, played THE PUNISHER, crossed paths with THE PREDATOR, has been in multiple Stephen King adaptations (DREAMCATCHER, THE MIST, 1922), etc. Another film that can now be added to the list of his genre work is director Michael Caissie's THE ORCHARD, which is currently in production.

THE ORCHARD centers on 

a sheriff who gets called to an orchard where three teenage sisters have been attacked by a band of young delinquents. Arriving on the scene, the lawman soon realises a malevolent force lurks within the grounds that will drag everyone into a fight for their lives.

Joining Jane in the cast are Jay Mohr, India Ennenga, Katrina Bowden, Amanda Wyss, and Sean Patrick Flanery.

The film is being produced by Arnold Rifkin of Cheyenne Enterprises, along with Caissie, Mohr, Clayton Turnage, Leah Sturgis, and Christopher Sherman. Ehud Bleiberg, Nicholas Donnermeyer, Matthew Helderman, Luke Taylor, Josh Chewerda, and Gato Scatena serve as executive producers, and Bleiberg Entertainment is handling international sales.

I'm a fan of Jane and of most of his co-stars in this movie, so I look forward to watching them go up against this "malevolent force" in THE ORCHARD.
