Here’s something I wouldn’t have seen coming in a hundred years… If I was to tell you guys that Josh Brolin and Tim Burton were potentially teaming up with Warner Bros. to bring us an adaptation of the classic tale THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME.. Would that be something you might be interested in?
Well whether you’re into it or not it seems like this thing is going to happen! Warner Bros. have already tapped SHERLOCK HOLMES 2 scribes Kieran and Michele Mulroney with the task of adapting Victor Hugo’s 1831 novel. Brolin has plans to produce the film as well as star while Burton would be directing. Mind you this is far from a done deal, as the script hasn’t even been started yet. So things are of course subject to change.
Hunchback tells the story of Quasimodo, a deformed and hunchbacked bell-ringer of the Norte Dame cathedral who tragically falls in love with beautiful gypsy named Esmerelda.
