Titans season 2 trailer shows off Bruce Wayne & Deathstroke

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The DC Universe series TITANS gave young heroes like Robin (Brenton Thwaites ) a gritty, R-rated makeover to mostly successful results, and now fans can expect more of the same with the impending second season. The first trailer is here to tease the expansion of the Titans team and introduce some new faces to the series in Bruce Wayne (Iain Glen) and Deathstroke (Esai Morales). Of course, they’re all fighting for second over the intro of the adorable super pup, Krypto.

The fast-paced trailer shows plenty of quick looks at the expanding cast, like Superboy (Joshua Orpin), Aqualad (Drew Van Acker), Ravager (Chelsea Zhang), which will make for a crowded if not an epic season. The first season was comparable to what Marvel/Netflix shows like DAREDEVIL and LUKE CAGE were doing in offering adult, grounded takes on the costumed heroes, opposed to the more PG-13 network shows. That meant getting phrases like “F—k Batman,” and plenty of intense violence, and while the season itself wasn't all that great, it was at least entertaining enough to make me curious about season two.

Knowing all these heroes and villains are in this season begs the question just how far DC is willing to take this series, especially after they canceled the SWAMP THING before it even finished its first run. Do they intend to expand on the characters and keep TITANS around for the long haul, or will this be an epic, character-filled end to a two-season run?
