I’m not sure what to make of TOKYO!, but it certainly seems intriguing.
Described as a “fantasy in three movements”, the surreal triptych features segments from visionary directors Michel Gondry (THE ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND), Leos Carax (POLA X) and Bong Joon-ho (THE HOST). Each takes place in the titular Japanese metropolis and variously follows a transforming relationship, a subterranean creature and a recluse in love.
The movie opens in limited release in March and screens in May at Cannes. Check out the trailer below.
