UPDATE: Entertainment Weekly has unveiled 11 new images from MAD MAX: FURY ROAD including looks at Charlize Theron, Tom Hardy, and Nicholas Hoult in character as well as new storyboards from George Miller‘s production. – Alex Maidy

Pictures have been pretty sparse in regards to George Miller‘s return to the post-apocalyptic wasteland that inhabits the world of MAD MAX: FURY ROAD. Even looks at the titular character, portrayed by Tom Hardy, have been far from pristine. It seems like things are going to take a turn for the better, as not only do we have our best look yet of Mad Max, but we also have a great look at Charlize Theron‘s Imperator Furiosa.

Check out the Entertainment Weekly cover:

While we can check out Tom Hardy tearing the screen up with his acting in THE DROP this September (check out the trailer here), I’m ridiculously excited to see him take on the role of the road warrior. It’s been too long since we’ve gotten some real vehicular mayhem, and I hope all the time spent on this project will yield some phenomenal practical results.

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult, will hit cinemas May 15, 2015.
