The other day when I posted the story about the potential actors for TERMINATOR 5 I knew you guys wouldn’t be too thrilled.
Nevertheless, it all seems to be true except for the bit about Boyd Holbrook (HATFIELDS & MCCOYS) being up for the role of John Connor.
But guess who is on the list for John Connor? Tom Hardy. Yes. Tom motherf*cking Hardy. I know his name is usually mentioned for high profile roles but I really want this. Sadly, Hardy is only on director Alan Taylor‘s wish list. So no meetings have taken place. Notice that I also mentioned Taylor as the director again. He’s named as the director in the same article by The Hollywood Report although there has been no official confirmation. I think it’s safe to say by now that he’s attached.
As for the role of Sarah Connor, Emilia Clarke (GAME OF THRONES) and Brie Larson (THE SPECTACULAR NOW) will definitely be testing for the part. Sounds like Margot Robbie (THE WOLF OF WALL STREET) is a possibility but not mentioned for any meetings.
