Fans have been incredibly vocal with their love for Tom Hiddleston‘s portrayal of Loki in both THOR and THE AVENGERS. With THOR: THE DARK WORLD likely to be Loki’s last appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a little while, fans are busy lobbying for the villain to get his own movie. Obviously Hiddleston loves the fan frenzy for his part which has launched him to projects like Guillermo Del Toro‘s CRIMSON PEAK.

When asked about the potential Loki solo film during press for THOR: THE DARK WORLD, Hiddleston made it clear that he would love to do it and even has an idea for who he wants to appear in it:

“When I was first reading the comics, [Loki’s] relationship with the Enchantress was one of the really fun things I thought would be good to explore. [I] may have even pitched it to Kevin Feige at some point.”

Enchantress is another name for a sorceress from Asgard named Amora who has a romantic relationship with Loki and is a nemesis of Thor’s. While this would make for a pretty cool plot for the third THOR movie, Enchantress also has faced off numerous times with Scarlet Witch who will be debuting in THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. After the massive battles I can imagine are to come in that sequel, it may be interesting to see if Scarlet Witch may cross out of THE AVENGERS movies and into a Loki film or some sort of cross-over outside of the other projects.

THOR: THE DARK WORLD opens November 8th.
