Who's The Boss, Tony Danza, Alyssa Milano, sequel, TV

Just in case you thought the whole TV revival business was done with, Deadline has reported that Who's the Boss, the beloved '80s sitcom, will be making a return with Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano on board to reprise their roles of Tony and Samantha Micelli. As someone who hasn't seen a single episode of Who's the Boss, I can't say whether or not its return is something people will be excited about, but there you are!

The sequel series will take place 30 years after the events of the original series and will be centered around "former major-league baseball player/retired housekeeper Tony Micelli and his relationship with his daughter Samantha Micelli. She is now a single mother, living in the house the original series was set in. In line with Norman Lear’s classic shows, the new comedy will explore generational differences, as well as opposing world views and parenting styles within the dynamic of a modern family in 2020." Both Judith Light (Angela) and Danny Pintauro (Jonathan) are said to be supportive of the Who's the Boss sequel series, and it's hoped that there will be a way to work their characters into the series. Katerine Helmond, who played Mona, sadly passed away last year. When the project is shopped to buyers, they will also have the opportunity to license all 196 episodes of the original series as well, and as you know, classic TV shows typically do quite well on streaming services.

Sound off below. Are you down for a return of Who's the Boss?
