Warner Bros has made a pre-emptive bid to pick up spec script THE DIONAEA HOUSE from scribe Eric Heisserer. The story concerns, a married man who has grown apart from his old friends. When one of them commits a double-murder suicide, the men feel compelled to investigate, eventually stumbling upon an evil force that perpetuates itself through tract housing.
Presumably they’ll brush up the log line pretty quickly.
What the tale does have going for it is a pretty sweet website that’s been hanging around for about a year. Ala BLAIR WITCH, this guy was thinking ahead and taking full advantage of the exposure the internet offers. To that I say well done.
And as far as the tract housing goes, I have to presume it’ll be scarier than it sounds.
