There's a fine line between "bad" and the coveted "good-bad" movies. Bad movies are just incompetent and a slog to sit through, while "good-bad" movies are ones that – while not objectively good – are still fun to watch while riffing with friends (presumably while inebriated). It's hard to know where ATTACK OF THE KILLER DONUTS – an even goofier riff on the earlier cult classic ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES – stands. On the one hand, it's obviously not good, with terrible special effects and dumb storyline; however, it's also purposely cheesy, and at least looks fun. So who knows? That's a fine line in and of itself, and honestly, movies that try that – like SHARKNADO – usually don't fare well.
Anyway, here's the official synopsis:
A chemical accident turns ordinary donuts into bloodthirsty killers. Now it's up to a group of friends to save their town from the fried fiends.
If nothing else, I'm glad they're bringing back songs that have the movies title in them.
Meanwhile, while it was released on the internet last year, it will be getting a proper release November 17th.
