Attack of the Killer Donuts trailer will melt your brain

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Throughout the history of the horror genre, food has had a tendency to turn bad in a murderous way, from ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES to THE STUFF. Now visual effects supervisor/director Scott Wheeler has set out to make you fear circular, sugary, delicious pastries with ATTACK OF THE KILLER DONUTS.

Written by Nathan Dalton, Chris De Christopher, and Rafael Diaz-Wagner, DONUTS shows what happens when

a chemical accident turns ordinary donuts into blood thirsty killers. Now it’s up to Johnny, Michelle and Howard to save their sleepy town from… Killer Donuts.

Justin Ray, Kayla Compton, Allison England, C. Thomas Howell, and Michael Swan star.

The trailer for ATTACK OF THE KILLER DONUTS can be seen below, and drives home the approach implied by the title and concept: there is absolutely no seriousness here, it's just aiming to be a goofy good time. It looks to me like it's going to deliver.
