Wild Eye Releasing will be giving director Todd Sheets' horror film noir CLOWNADO a VOD release on September 3rd, with a DVD release to follow on September 17th – and if you'd like to pre-order a copy of the disc, you can do so at THIS LINK.
With a cast that includes genre stars Linnea Quigley and Eileen Dietz, plus drive-in icon Jeanne Silver, CLOWNADO promises to put viewers on a "thrill ride into the depths of depravity and gore".
The plot:
Cursed demonic circus clowns set out on a vengeful massacre using tornadoes. A stripper, Elvis impersonator, truck driver, teen runaway, and a dude get caught in the supernatural battle between femme fatal and the boss clown from hell.
Rachel Lagen, Joel D. Wynkoop, Cayt Feinics, Millie Milan, Bobby Westrick, Dilynn Fawn Harvey, Ana Rojas-Plumberg, Eric "Danger" Dionne, David McMahon, Julie Anne Prescott, Jack McCord, and Antwoine Steele round out the cast. The bloody special effects were provided by Joe Castro.
Although the movie has a title that immediately brings to mind SHARKNADO, Sheets has said that he was aiming to make it something along the lines of "THE EVIL DEAD, DEAD ALIVE, BAD TASTE and THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE if Lucio Fulci was directing, all mixed in a swirling storm of insanity!"
