Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Uncork'd Entertainment has announced an April 14th DVD and Digital release for the kidnapping thriller GETAWAY, which was directed by Lane Toran and stars genre regular Scout Taylor-Compton. Along with the release date announcement comes a trailer, which can be seen embedded above.

Previously known as GETAWAY GIRLS, the film has the following synopsis:

Tamara Miller has planned a weekend lake getaway with her two best friends. When she gets kidnapped by a backwoods cult, eerie and unexplained occurrences arise. Will she make it out alive or become the treasure of these deranged lunatics?

Toran wrote the screenplay with Jaclyn Betham, and both of them have acting roles in the film. The cast also includes Landry Allbright, Jamil Walker Smith, Ben Deschaine, and Chrystopher Ryan Johnson.

Check out the trailer and see if this is a film you'd like to watch next month.

As I've said before, I'll watch anything that has Scout Taylor-Compton in the cast, and it looks like this one goes in a direction I was not expecting when the trailer began.
