The feature directorial debut of Maria Gabriela Cardenas, the serial killer film A DARK FOE has recently been making the festival rounds. While it's not yet known when those of us who can't catch it at a festival will have a chance to watch the movie, a trailer has been released online to give us a preview of what Cardenas has accomplished.

Written by the director and her father Oscar Cardenas, A DARK FOE stars Selma Blair and Graham Greene in the story of

a tortured FBI agent suffering from an irrational fear of darkness, as he investigates a mysterious former prostitute in order to catch a vicious serial killer.

If this project sounds familiar but the title doesn't, that's because we covered A DARK FOE when it was first announced as THE GREAT ILLUSION last year.

Blair and Greene are joined in the cast by Bill Bellamy, Julie Gonzalo, Ireland Baldwin, Ava Locklear, Glenn Morshower, Tokala Black Elk, Jon Lindstrom, Kenzie Dalton, Trisha Rae Stahl, Rebekah Kennedy, Jaime Gallagher, Bella Shaw, Rob Evors, Monte Markham, Beverly Todd, Duane Whitaker, Bonnie Hellman, and Oscar Cardenas.

Amy Williams produced A DARK FOE with father and daughter Cardenas, who have formed their own production company called Path of Thorns Entertainment that is exclusively dedicated to producing horror and thriller movies.

This movie looks interesting to me. Check out the trailer below and see what you think.
