Trailer shows what’s ahead on this season of American Horror Story

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Judging by the ratings for the premiere of American Horror Story: Hotel on FX, many of you reading this probably watched Wednesday night's episode, as the number of viewers who tuned in for it was just shy of the record held by the premiere of American Horror Story: Freak Show. When taking into account VOD and DVR, Freak Show's premiere was FX's most watched telecast ever, and Hotel may well match it or surpass it when its VOD and DVR numbers come in.

While we wait for that information, and for the next episode to roll around, we have something else to watch: a trailer for the remainder of Hotel's thirteen episode season. A trailer packed with weirdness, madness, murder, and Lady Gaga.

The plot of the episode that kicked things off was:

Detective and family man John Lowe (Wes Bentley) investigates a chain of gruesome murders in Los Angeles. A mysterious tip points him to the enigmatic Hotel Cortez.

Lady Gaga and Wes Bentley are joined in the cast of Hotel by Denis O'Hare, Evan Peters, Matt Bomer, Finn Wittrock, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Cheyenne Jackson, Max Greenfield, Lily Rabe, Naomi Campbell, Madchen Amick, Darren Criss, and Chloe Sevigny.

I missed the Hotel premiere, as I have nearly every previous American Horror Story episode, but I swear I'm going to catch up on the show one of these days.

American Horror Story: Hotel airs Wednesday nights at 10pm on FX.
