Trailer unleashed for Blumhouse’s The Vigil

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Blumhouse has released a new, creepy trailer for the haunted house film THE VIGIL, directed by Keith Thomas and starring Adam Margules, Dave Davis, Menashe Lustig, Malky Goldman, Lynn Cohen, and Fred Melamed. Here's the official synopsis:

A man providing overnight watch to a deceased member of his former Orthodox Jewish community finds himself opposite a malevolent entity, in writer-director Keith Thomas' electrifying feature debut.

Looks good to me! I'm always down for a good ghost story! And I like that it's showing off a culture that we normally don't see in these types of situations, so that adds an extra cool element as well.

Meanwhile, while it premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year, no official domestic release date for VIGIL has been announced as of yet (though it will be hitting UK cinemas July 31st). But we'll keep you updated!

So what do you guys think? Any favorite possession movies? Either way, sound off below!
