Stylish trailer unleashed for psychological slasher film Open 24 Hours!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Slasher films have been around for a long time, and there's only so many variations of the formula. However, having a heroine who is suffering PTSD and paranoid delusions – while not knowing what's real or not – could be an interesting twist on it. Such is the case of the upcoming slasher film OPEN 24 HOURS, which has just released a bloody and suspenseful trailer. Below is the official synopsis:

After setting her serial killer boyfriend on fire, a paranoid woman gets a job at an all-night gas station. However, left alone to her own devices, her paranoia and hallucinations return with furious consequences. Customers and friends suddenly start turning up dead and mutilated all around her.

While this is certainly not the first slasher to have us question the reality of the situations we're seeing (NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and HIGH TENSION come to mind), it is nonetheless a niche subgenre within the already somewhat niche slasher subgenre, so it remains a bit novel. Hopefully its execution can match its premise.

Meanwhile, OPEN 24 HOURS – directed by Padraig Reynolds and starring Vanessa Grasse, Brendan Fletcher, Cole Vigue, Emily Tennant, and Daniel O’Meara – will be released on Digital, VOD, and DVD August 18th!

So what do you guys think? Fans of slasher films? If so, how does this one seem to stack up? Either way, sound off below!
