New trailer unveiled for Netflix’s lavish adaptation of Rebecca!

Netflix just released a new, scrumptious trailer for their stylish, big-budget adaptation of the period thriller REBECCA from director Ben Wheatley (HIGH RISE), which had been adapted once before by none other than Alfred Hitchcock himself! You can watch said trailer at the top of the article to see how it stacks up, and below is the official synopsis:

A young newlywed arrives at her husband’s imposing family estate on a windswept English coast and finds herself battling the shadow of his first wife Rebecca, whose legacy lives on in the house long after her death. A modern adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier's gothic novel comes to Netflix: starring Armie Hammer, Lily James, and Kristin Scott Thomas.

Meanwhile REBECCA – containing a star-studded cast that includes Lily James (Cinderella, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again), Armie Hammer (Mirror Mirror, On The Basis of Sex), Kristin Scott Thomas (Four Weddings and a Funeral, The English Patient), Keeley Hawes (“Bodyguard”, “Spooks”), Ann Dowd (Hereditary, “The Handmaid’s Tale“), Sam Riley (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies), Tom Goodman-Hill (“Humans”, “The Devil’s Whore”), Mark Lewis Jones (“Chernobyl”, “Gangs of London”), John Hollingworth (“Poldark”, Dorian Gray) and Bill Paterson (“Fleabag”, The Witches) – will premiere on Netflix October 21st!
