Just a few days ago Eric hit you all with some casting news on a post-apocalyptic thriller heading our way called TRIBES OF OCTOBER.
Now nevermind the awesome cast heading our way, which includes: Ray Stevenson, Jamie King, James Caan, Robert Duvall, and Stephen Moyer. And nevermind the badass synopsis we got coming from this one, which reads: “October” is set in a future in which New York has become surrounded by an endless desert plagued by heat storms, and the city’s technology is such that nothing made after 1960 works any more. In this environment, a detective (Stevenson) goes after a Mafia don (Caan) who is going after the remnants of the NYPD, led by Duvall. The detective is simultaneously searching for the love of his life (King). But now we’ve got a few development stills to get us excited!!
I’m assuming these are development stills because this thing isn’t pegged to begin production until August, but yet we’re looking at it! The pictures showed up over at Cinepro Pictures and can be seen above and below.
Not bad at all. We’ve needed a good mafia flick for a while and it seems TRIBES OF OCTOBER might be exactly what the doctor ordered! How can you go wrong with Robert Duvall and James Caan with the fine ass Jamie King thrown in? Well, you can’t! OCTOBER comes from director Philippe Martinez with a budget around $25 million. Things are set to get going this August in Michigan so keep it here for updates!
