Having just experienced one helluva Halloween this past Friday, you can only imagine the joy that encompassed my heart upon hearing more positive news concerning the unjustly-shelved TRICK ’R TREAT (see The Arrow’s glowing review here).
Well, it looks like WB may have finally woken up and smelled the cyanide-spiked coffee. It appears that they are now test-screening writer/director Michael Dougherty’s masterpiece once again.
Perhaps the slew of positive buzz that TRICK has recently received from a number
of festival-type screenings was enough proof to show that yes, they CAN make money with it. I don’t get why creative and fun movies such as this have to go through so much shit just to score a f*cking theatrical release and absolute crapfests like PROM NIGHT come prancing into the multiplexes with ease. It ain’t right!
We better be getting some positive news on a TRICK ’R TREAT theatrical release soon. I’ll be keeping my eyes carved open.
