Troma to release original Mother’s Day on Blu-ray in June

While the release of Darren Lynn Bousman’s remake of MOTHER’S DAY was just delayed, Troma Entertainment will release Charles Kaufman’s 1980 original exploitation flick on Blu-ray on June 7. The cover art can be seen below. Here is the product description:

Loving sons always do what their mothers tell them to… even if it s to kill! A mad matriarch and her two maniac sons kidnap and torture three women in their backwoods cabin!

In addition to a high-definition transfer, special features on the disc include a an interview with director/co-writer Charles Kaufman, behind-the-scenes footage, casting footage, a featurette, production stills, and the original trailer. The film stars Tiana Pierce, Nancy Hendrickson, Deborah Luce, Frederick Coffin, Michael McCleery and Beatrice Pons.
